Mr. Mike O'Neill, Executive Vice-President Asia Pacific, IFATCA

​

Mike O'Neill is an Air Traffic Controller at Civil Aviation Department Hong Kong. He has not only involved in project work on the development, implementation and training of Electronic Flight Strip, but also re-design and installation of new ATC consoles and integrated information display system in the Control Tower. He also took part in the development and participation of SMS of the above projects.

He is currently an operational OJTI and Examiner within the aerodrome stream in Hong Kong ATC, and the Executive Vice-President Asia Pacific of IFATCA.

Mr. Brian Legge, Regional Vice-President, IFALPA

​

Brian Legge was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. His aviation career spans across Canada; including postings in British Columbia,  Saskatchewan, Ontario, and Nova Scotia before moving to Hong Kong, where he has resided for the last twelve years. Brian has accumulated over 15,000 hours in fixed wing aircraft over 20 years; he holds type ratings on the Boeing 777, 747, and several turboprop aircraft.

 

Brian has a long history of training. As a Class 1 Flight Instructor, he was the Chief Flight Instructor of a successful Canadian aviation college. He has been working as a consultant for the past four years specializing in human factors, CRM, leadership and command skills, strategic planning, and security training for a variety of audiences including: airline, business jet, helicopter, and regional crews.

 

Brian holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Psychology from the University of British Columbia and an Executive MBA with a specialization in Aviation Management from Concordia University in Montreal. He is also a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honours Society.

 

Currently, Brian is a Captain at Cathay Pacific Airways flying the Boeing 777. He is also one of Cathay’s flight data analysts on their FDAP team and the Regional Vice-President of the International Federation of Air Line Pilots’ Associations (IFALPA).
